Report Highlights by Fr Nigel Johnson, Executive Director Radio Dialogue Launch of Radio Dialogue Report on Constitutional Reform Activities Rainbow Hotel, Bulawayo, 30 January, 2010 This report is the result of Radio Dialogue activities between August and December 2009. The activities were organised by the Radio Dialogue Ward Committees and staff, and included Focus Group Meetings, Live Broadcast Meetings and Roadshows, around the suburbs of Bulawayo.
STATEMENT BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE RADIO DIALOGUE TRUST It is now one and a half years since the three political parties arrived at The Global Political Agreement (GPA). The issues on which agreement was reached include “the immediate processing of all applications for registration in terms of the Broadcasting Services Act ”.Radio Dialogue submitted its application to the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe in January 2005. Along with applications from all other potential radio stations, this was refused.
Radio Dialogue presents Byo constitutional input to COPAC Radio Dialogue recently presented its constitutional reform report to the Co-chairpersons of the Constitution Parliamentary Committee during a meeting held t a local hotel.The report which is the first such document in the country to be presented to the ommittee was compiled by the organisation after wide consultations with the eople of Bulawayo through focus group meetings ,Live Broadcast Meetings and oad shows as part of the constitutional awareness programme.
