On Saturday the 20th of August Radio Dialogue had a meeting with Councillors. The meeting was aimed at discussing how Radio Dialogue can work with Councillors in information dissemination and community development. Radio Dialogue was proposing to do this through recording full council meetings and distributing the Cds to the community as a way of promoting accountability.

A Live Broadcast meeting was held on the 17th of July at Tshabalala Hall to discuss the accommodation challenges faced by the people of Ward 21. The objectives of this meeting were to find out if people benefited from the “Hlalani Kuhle” Operation as some of their houses were destroyed on the basis that they would be accomodated in new houses to be built under the Operation.

In collaboration with Cultural Information Trust Radio Dialogue embarked on some road shows on National Healing and Reconciliation. The objectives of these road shows were to find out if people know that there is a national healing organ, what the people what the organ to do for them as well as the role of political parties and civic society in national healing.
